The Fernwood is a delightful restaurant located on a small country road nestled on the side of a mountain. The beautiful Catskill Creek and Fernwood Falls is directly across the street.
It is a family affair and this family has been in the business for generations. Sam and Jean Grella (Merry’s Parents) and Frank Muzzi (Emil’s father and chef) owned and operated the famous Scampi Miramar 50 years ago in Boynton Beach, Florida and Port Washington, L.I. It was the place to dine for famous celebrities and high society. You will see many photos of this on the walls of the Fernwood. |

| Emil is the master in the kitchen and along with his daughter Jenny they work magic in the kitchen, coming up with some very creative nightly specials. Merry "The Matriarch" and son Emil smoothly run the front of the house. Even grandchildren Nicholas and Rebecca help out. |
| The food is mouthwatering with a wide variety of items from prime steaks, double cut lamb chops, chicken, veal, wonderful pastas, and fresh seafood and, of course, the famous Shrimp Scampi. They also make Caesar and Spinach Salads table-side! |
| The Fernwood offers it's very popular Shore Dinners with live jazz once a month. It's a complete dinner with clams, mussels, lobster, chicken, sausage, vegetable, potato, dessert and coffee. They also offer a complete dinner on Sunday beginning at 3pm. This includes choice of appetizer, entrée, dessert and coffee. This menu changes weekly. Fernwood will cater your affairs-rehearsal dinners, showers, weddings, holiday parties etc. |
